Scriveiner Pocket Pen Receives Three International Design Awards in 2025

London, United Kingdom — December 2025

Scriveiner has been recognised with three international design awards in 2025 for its patented Pocket Pen, with honours from both the European Product Design Award and the London Design Award.

The Pocket Pen was awarded Personal Product Design by the European Product Design Award and received recognition in the Hobby/Leisure and Luxury categories at the London Design Award. These accolades build on earlier international recognition, including awards from the Red Dot Award, the New York Product Design Award, and the International Design Award.

Together, these honours reflect a continued appreciation for Scriveiner’s approach to design: purposeful, considered, and grounded in real-world use rather than visual novelty alone.

Design recognition and evaluation

Product design awards of this standing assess entries against a broad range of criteria, including functionality, innovation, material choice, durability, ergonomics, and overall user experience. Originality is a foundational requirement within design and innovation categories.

Where a product is protected by a registered patent, supporting documentation is often submitted as part of the review process, allowing juries to evaluate not only the visual outcome, but the originality and technical reasoning behind the design. Recognition from multiple independent institutions indicates a consistent design philosophy, applied thoughtfully across both form and function.

For a writing instrument, this means careful attention to balance, usability, mechanical execution, and the way the pen integrates into everyday routines.

The Scriveiner Pocket Pen

The Scriveiner Pocket Pen was designed as an everyday carry writing instrument without compromise. With the length of only 118 mm when closed, it extends to a full-length pen when posted, offering balance and comfort comparable to larger writing instruments.

Its patented construction allows it to remain discreet and portable while delivering a stable, controlled writing experience. One of the defining features of the Scriveiner Pocket Pen is that it works with international standard ink converters or rollerball refills, depending on the writing mode, while remaining the smallest pen in the world designed to hold a standard ink converter.

Crafted from solid brass or aluminium and finished with Scriveiner’s characteristic attention to detail, the Pocket Pen is intended for those who value preparedness, clarity, and considered design, even in the smallest objects they carry.

Designed for daily use, it is equally suited to notes, sketches, signatures, and moments of reflection.
